I agree there is a place for both and rules for each. I've seen the Spec Ops jersey in person....not impressed, but to each his own. I would like to see team sponsors be willing to do work with their teams to let them participate in this league.

As you are fond of pointing out...The almighy Oz (Hitman) has spoken and jerseys are in if they meet the guidelines. Hopefully it will work out.

trust you me, I fight very hard for what I believe in, and I've even seen some rules change in CCPL due to being unfair or unjust.  This is not one of those cases.  It's a tactical league that should in no way be related to speedball short of the fact they both are part in partial to the same ideal.  shoot paint not bullets.
This one is using bot .43 and.68 caliber paintballs, and that is something you'd never see in NPPL.  This one is about the tactical advantage of a confined short wave scenario, not who can shot the most paint in 5 minutes.  This is about finally having a league where tactical players can win prizes that rival the prizes giveon out by speedball tournaments, so the scenario players don't have to conform to Speedball rules.  For once, we (the sppedball few) have to conform to the wills of the many.  And that is why I'm on board.  New uniforms in hand, and old rifle out of storage.  Long live the tactical group!

This idea is so popular it has TWO thread devoted to it.

A growing league probably shouldn't limit itself to only players that want to wear BDU's. There are companies in our sport trying to make a shift to accomodate scenario and woodsball players and people here are "booing" the idea of having to play against a team that might wear a jersey to with their BDU pants!?!?! Empire has a jersey that is built for (see invert) play just like this....the Tippmann has it's own jersey and a speedball team (hello, Tippinators). My group wears BDU's, BDU pants with Under Armour screened tops, A Jersey with digital camo, etc. This league is a great concept, but the exclusionary element and rigid thinking that is dominating the topic of if teams can wear a jersey is dissapointing. Spyder has a whole line devoted to scenario play and a jersey can't be far off, but they won't be able to sponsor a team on their terms, because this league wants to stay in military issue BDU's only?

Give the teams a break that want to play in your tournaments and join up in your league (and keep their sponsors happy or just play in what they usually play in)...keep the marker rule, and be flexible on the dress issue...Keep the BDU pants and boots, but let them keep their tops if they are subdued color jerseys. Help the ENTIRE sport grow not just this sector of it.

Okay, I thought in all the reading of this topic that they want a military style uniform. Now consider it is tactical and SWAT style uniform could fit in this. Thus if you get black pants and black shirt from Dickeys from Walmart for about 20 bucks would be a start. Get a patch with your name on it and have yourself or your mommy sew it over the front right pocket. Now have your entire team do this. WALA you have matching uniforms. You can also use TAN, BLUE, or any other solid color to be the TEAM uniform. Look at all the cops uniforms, military uniforms, security guards, etc. JUST MATCH.

Hay if you see something that you and your team would like take a pic of it and ask HITMAN if it is good.

OK, I don't know if anybody suggested this yet so here goes....
If every team has to wear a vest , then the teams that are sponsored be allowed to put sponsor names on that vest or headwear in a non-bright color but that is still visible i.e. patches and such. Just like RAP4 is on some vests you can also make a sponsor patch for little money and have put on your vest, or sleave of team uniform, or headwear. Just a suggestion!!

Yup. Names on the VESTs are cool,
