Sponsors are looking for someone who will make them money. When writing sponsors be respectful, relise your a customer. You dont make the demands, give him something to look at. A player picture, what you have covered and what you need. Tell them how you could help them make more sales and promote them like no other team could. You may be the one going out on a limb and asking for somthing, but relise its just like your the customer.
Essentials for a team
1) Markers (Huge sponsorship, try to hold off on this until your a big team)
2)Uniform (Go to a surpluss store and ask if you can get a sponsorship on BDU's/ACU's. 10% off to 30% off. Ask to much and you'll be shut down, haggle a bit and you might land the deal.)
3) Upgrades (Very difficult on the scale, try stores for upgrades and not buisnesses like tippmann for example.)
4)Paint (Another difficult sponsor, paint is both expensive, and always in low supply. If you have a paint sponsor your all set.)
What you didnt know (or do you?)
Sponsors are easy to come by, all you need is to be well known in the area you play. Im on two tri-state teams (I run one and I am a high ranking NCO in the other) sponsors look for active players. If you play once a month you'll be overlooked. Twice is good. once a week is great! Have a life, dont say "I live and breath paintball!" Sponsors want people with a life. (Seriously I still dont believe what im saying!)

Personal Sponsor
A personal sponsor is someone that only represents you. I currently have 0 personal sponsors because I want to be even with everyone else on my team. I might get one eventually.
Team Sponsor
Team sponsors do as it suggests. They sponsor your team. Pay 35 bucks or whatever and have an add go into the paper if that what it takes to put your team out there. People look, People also want mid size teams. (Mines more of a true militery unit bordering on 20people)
Basics
Basically just search, you can find a sponsor anywhere. I might be getting one from a water treatment company!
