Alaska's paintball S.W.A.T. Team is in need of help!!!

We are trieing to get more people to be part of the team an not many people play paintball here so how would we get the word out to the players that are out there?
info; I started the team in MI, sometime in 1997. then i moved back to alaska and i want to start the team again i have a web site that i am working on.( not much to see since there are not many people on my roster)people can see my stats at The Special Ops Brigade web site to see what type of paintball player i am. we are also trieing to get at least one sponsor for the team.

welcome to the TTPL.  I to had trouble getting my team started, i am in south western ontario, now, i have found the best way (as have others)  get out there and just plaster the streets and businesses with posters and info.  Also, just invite people out to play, get them involved right away.  any more questions just ask

welcome to the forum sniper25,i can tell you that starting a team is a difficult task.let me say do not rush the process of recruiting any and all you find,be choosy,in the end by rushing to get a team together,you will find that most of them will fade away and you will end up with a smaller team than expected.make sure they are dedicated and motivated to put the time in to train and play.little by little you will end up with a core group you can count on.for you being a distance away,i would say use the paintball forums to recruit,that may be the best best in your situation.use pbnation,pbfreedom,tac-ten.theres alot to choose from.but good luck and hope for the best.

Don't be afraid to take newbies into your team, they'll just need extra training and you will have to keep them next to you on the field so you can watch them and they can watch you, most of all just in case you have to save their a** on the field. having newbies on a established team not a bad idea,yes we had to start somewhere,the idea is to screen those that are a asset to a team looking for certain skills to help them build a strong team,not all newbies fit into all teams.some are suited for a certain type of paintball play,rec-ball,woodsball,speedball,mils-sim.it all comes down to what the team leaders are looking for and what the newbie has to offer.it is also up to the team leaders to decide to train a newbie from scratch and see if he or she fits into the group or not.like i said many things go into building a strong team,not just throwing together anyone who wants to shoot paint.again be choosy it pays in the end.
