For the moment, most fields are NOT allowing the use of the First Strike paintballs on their field, primarily due to the fact that it must be reviewed by their insurance. Unfortunately, there have been complaints about the First Strike "cutting" people with the fins. But, having taken a look at these so called "cuts", it's near laughable. The cuts are minor nicks that are no worse then what you're likely to get while playing a full 26 scenario games. Branches, scraping on a tree, etc. But, sadly, some insurance companies are taking these "cuts" seriously.
In my mind, the First Strike is worth the, roughly, $140 upgrade and the $6 for 8 rounds in my opinion. If you're like me and you are of the "sniper" mentality, then it is definitely worth the cost. Over the years, I've become more and more upset with the inaccuracy of paintballs. But now, with First Strike, I can really "reach and and touch some one" like I want. Sure, the initial cost for the conversion is a lot, and you don't get many shots for your money, but with the accuracy and distance of these babies, you DON'T need all that many rounds. So in the end, your kill count will go up and you will also spend less in the long run. In my opinion at least. ^^
But like I said, this is for the "sniper" guys out there such as myself. Not for every one.
Oh, and here's Tiberius newest marker, made specifically for the First Strike.
