Well I have never really seen a synopsis of what defines TacTen.  I understand what is being represented, but to what guidelines?  I have read the rules laid down (which fits the style of play our group out here better than anything else).  But I haven't come across the true meaning of it....strike that, RAP 4 has a nice little blurb about it.

I won't take any offense to anyone telling me what it's about if I make an invalid point or misinterpret something.  I am new to this style of play, and would love to see it or something like it out here!  Don't see it anytime soon though >:(

So if it is ultimately a tactical driven setup, not a mil-sim, the driving factor to this is not necessarily what the marker looks like.  But how it performs, and why does it need to be regulated then?  Like I said before, if they want to blow through the paint faster, then let them.  You only get so much, so use it wisely  ;D  If the opposing team keeps mowing down your team, find a way to disable the gunner (umm here is where the TACTICAL side of things comes out)

There will always be squeaky wheels, can we oil them all?  No, of course not.  As it was said previously and I reiterate, ballin is ballin.  Are we there to have fun, or complain all day?

Hey guys,
New member here and trying to finalize a team roster and gear for the 2010 season.  I have to agree with the comments on keeping it tactical and in doing so, keeping it milsim in appearance.  It would be nice to see everyone's heavy gunner running with a m249 saw or old school m60 out on the field.  So far what I understand is the heavy gunner is allowed to run full auto and can carry any loader he/she chooses.  Has a decision been made to cap the bps (I would like to see 10bps and keep it real) of the heavy gunner?  Does the heavy gunner's marker have to look the role?

Here is my current prototype (first run) of what our team's heavy gunner may be caryying on the field.  Its internals are a SP1 and can easily be fitted with a full pinokio loader.

I also have an 08 ego that I run with a larger scenario games.  It will outshoot the SP1 and be much easier to carry around for a heavy gunner.  I think it definitely gives the user a tactical advantage over anyone else on the field.  I personally would rather see a decision to have the heavy gunners markers modified like the top to keep the feel and look of the role its supposed to.

Hey I have a question regarding launchers the rules state that a m203 launcher is exceptable. However rap4 carries a variety of other launchers liekthe phantom thunder. My question is does it have to be a m203 or are the phanton series allowed, thanks ofr any assistance.

All launchers sold on RAP4 are good to go. All home made launchers need to be inspected by TTPL officials before game time. NO PVC chambers!!!! and all need a gauge and able to check for velocity. Hope that helps  ;)

Hey I have another question regarding the difference between rocket launchers and grenade launchers. Do I need a ref when firing a grenade launcher? Do I have to be the artillery guy if I have a grenade launcher? Do grenade launcher hits have a 10 or 3 foot rule.

1) Yes you need a Ref
2) Yes you have to be the Artillery players with the ID
3) All launchers have the 10 foot rule, or need to hit the "Market" targets, with in those targets are market areas so if your in it with in the hit, you are eliminated.
