Hired Guns II
Ghost Recon
12 September 2009

Situation:
Angus is a country in the midst of a brutal civil war. There are numerous factions all trying to wrest control of the diamond rich nation. To do so would mean control of the entire region and the ability to dictate the world’s economy.

An American B-2 Spirit Stealth bomber, loaded with 2 MK-24 Thermonuclear devices, disappeared over the Country of Angus in May of 2009.. The wreckage was found by a United Nations Special Forces team who confirmed that it had been downed by a Soviet mad SA-12 Surface to Air Missile. It carried a crew of 2. There have been no reports of parachutes or rescue beacons since a brief mayday on Channel 9, the international distress frequency.

The US Special Forces Command dispatched 2 small 8-man teams to the area with specific orders to accomplish 2 primary missions. 1) Prevent the live capture of either pilot. If unable to rescue the pilot, they have been instructed to kill the pilot to prevent his divulging secret information. 2) To recover or destroy the two nuclear warheads and their fuse mechanisms. The Special Forces Teams were also given the green light to eliminate any/all of the warring factions that attempt to retrieve either the pilots or the warheads.

At the time the mission concluded, it was believed that 1 pilot, Lt. Dan, had been killed in the initial crash and the other Pilot, had been killed by one of the warring factions while they attempted to capture him.

The 2 MK-24 Thermonuclear devices were never found.

New information has been received that Lt Dan may not have died in the shoot-down.
Agents operating in the neighbouring country of Simcoe have reported increased activity in the remote village of Midlandski. Numerous small groups of insurgents have been seen providing security for High-level warlords and a prisoner in “pilot clothing” has been seen under heavy guard.

Mission:

Each Team will act independently. Each team will be entirely on their own. The objective is to retrieve the pilot and maintain control of the pilot.

Each Team will search for and attempt to gain control of the 2 nuclear devices. By achieving this, they gain additional supplies such as ammunition, air, and maps.

Possession of the pilot is defined by a minimum of 1 Team player maintaining physical contact (hand on) the stretcher bearing the pilot. The pilot must be protected from being shot in the head and across the abdomen. Should an opposing player hit the pilot in either of these areas, possession of the stretcher and pilot is lost by the possessing team.

Land mines are completely neutral in that ANY player can set it off, ANY player being marked by paint of a dime size or greater is considered eliminated and must return to the neutral area.

At 3 different times throughout the day, a 20 minute window of opportunity shall exist for the team in possession of the pilot and stretcher to reach the safety of the Aid Station. Should a team do this, they will be awarded a bonus 3 minutes of possession time.

There will be markers, hoppers, HPA tanks and other prizes scattered throughout the field. Any player finding one, may keep it providing they reach an Aid Station without being eliminated.

Any hit on the torso (above the waist excluding arms) or head shall result in the player being eliminated. All players who have been eliminated must report to the neutral zone. There will be no reinsertions unless the entire team has been eliminated.

Entry: $50.00 per player
(25.00 goes to the prize pool)
Paint: $80.00/2000
Air-Free
Team Size: from 1-10players max

sorry i didn't post this info sooner... gawd i hate being busy.

anyway, the algonquin irregulars travelled down to attend this game with 10 game ready warriors.

the weather was warm and sunny. the field almost virgin, and the play intense at times.

again, the irregulars were victorious.

i'm almost starting to think my guys are getting good...  :)

can't wait for the next one.
