50 round hopper limit

Would half loaded Q-pods be acceptable? They hold 100 rounds, but you could easily limit the number of rounds in each one. It's not like you could load more into the Q-pods in the middle of a game.

That sounds good. My potential participation in the league might depend on it. To run with a Q-loader, you have to permanantly modify your A-5. That means I need them allowed. If not my options are to buy another marker or not play in the league.

just an idea...i understand the purpose of the 50 round limit....but what if you just made it 100 round, paint is not bullets, thusly, you shoot more just to get one near the target....this way q-loaders ( which seems like alot of tactical players use ), wont have to change anything, 100 round pods ar4 readily available, as well as 100 round hoppers....this way no new hoppers or pods have to be made....just an idea....i don't use q-loaders, and all of our markers are either ready for any modified hoppers or have built-in loads that are below 50 rounds...

Personally, I would rather go the opposite way, and limit the amount of paint inside the hoppers even more...to maybe 25 to 30 rounds.  In addition, aside from the heavy gunner, I wouldn't even mind if the players were limited to the amount of paint they could bring on the field.  I mean, if we want to keep it real as possible, why would we want players running around with over 1,000 to 2,000 rounds on them...as if you could continually run with that much real ammo--well, you could, but it would seriously be cumbersome.

Check out the Tac Pod, it's exactly what you're
looking for.  30 rounds per pod, three pods per
magazine pouch.  Everyone gets to carry their
basic load.  Check with the guys at APP, the
makers of this for more details and watch for
their next toy, a flip lid hopper that'll only
carry one mags worth of rounds at a time.

Why not just play the heavy gunner? they can load much more then 50 rounds.  I think that 50 rounds is extremely fair cosidering its TACTICAL people. Most of the shooting should be around 40 feet or less unless its a sniper position, and if your marker has that much of a wicked curve that you cant get a close spred at 40 feet then you need a new marker anyways.  Consider this, a football field, is 300 feet long yes, but its only 35 feet wide....  not to mention the field layout they have displayed on this board has it cluttered with buildings, tunnels, and passageways that don't allow much room for the longball.  The only people who should be concerned about their markers accuracy is the heavy gunner (and lets face it if they run full auto and can carry as much as they please then its not an issue now is it?) and the sniper, whi if he's done the practices he needs and knows his gun and is crazy enough to do the job, then hes not worried.  I play sniper in scenarion missions, like NJ Nam and Delmarva Jam and i carry exactly 52 rounds onto the field. nothing else.  no pods, no spare hopper, nothing.  me my rifle, my hopper and my ghillie. Nothing more. nothing less, if it doesn't get the job done, then I've failed as a sniper.  i don't fail.

I like the 50 round limit, and it would be easy to check qpods when the player enter's the field one other option is to put a warp feed on, this will work with your moded A5 and still have you useing the 50 round hopper.  Just a thought.

50 round pods = bottle of bug juice.

Bottles of bug juice (the juice containes found in any gas station for like 50 cents to a dolar, hold exactly 50 rounds, and if you shave the treads off of the neck, fit perfectly as a hopper!  Whats even better is their clear!  I've been using one with my sniper rifle for years.  just figured it was time to let others in on my little secret!

When all equipment is checked in at check in time. If the q-loader fits 50balls, then go for it. I will be posting a more updated rule-book soon. This will be the final call on rules. everyones feedback has been great and very helpfull. Thats what we where looking for. All limited paint calls will be posted on who can carry how many balls at one time. Thanks

whats the word on those 50 round loaders? is there an availabilty date yet? are they sprig loaded like the plan was?  please, some more info please!
